What We Measure

( The 10 Tests )

1. Sit & Rise Test

Can you get down to the floor and back up without using your hands or knees? This powerful predictor of longevity assesses lower body strength, flexibility, and balance

2. Stair/ Step Test

Step up to a platform of age-appropriate height without using momentum or assistance. It's a direct indicator of leg strength and real-world function.

3. Sandbag Lift

Can you lift a sandbag from, the floor to your shoulder safely and with control? This simulates real-life lifting (like groceries, mulch, or grandkids) and measures full-body strength.

4. Bar Hang

How long can you hang from a bar? This simple test reflects grip strength, shoulder health, and upper body endurance — all critical for independence.

5. Farmer's Carry

Carry weight in each hand for distance. It's real-world indicator of strength, endurance, and resilience.

6. Vertical Jump

Measure your ability to generate power from ground up — a key predictor of fall risk and explosive strength, which declines with age.

7. Agility ( 3-Cone Drill )

Your ability to accelerate, decelerate, and change directions quickly is vital for avoiding falls and reacting to sudden challenges.

8. Pushups
